Kill Bill, Volume II. We watched both, back to back. Once she finds Bill, it basically becomes a different movie, which I think is the film’s greatest strength. It’s a ton of fun, then it has an ending that is touching and redemptive. And it spends time there. Similar films have tried adding a five-minute punch of drama, but in Kill Bill, the entire last thirty minutes changes your whole perception of the protagonist, and thus your perception of both films.
